Walter Reed Society Thanks the Kent Island American Legion Post 278
Walter Reed Society officers retired U.S. Army Col. Vandy L. Miller, left, and retired U.S. Army Col. Joe Konzelman, right, present former Kent Island (KI) American Legion Commander Nikki Randolph of Stevensville with the Combat Medic Award for providing assistance beyond the call of duty to wounded veterans and their families.
Randolph initiated the annual Wounded Warriors Weekend at the KI Legion five years ago. She accepted the award on behalf of the KI Legion and the KI Fisherman’s Club that has co-hosted the event. The award was presented during the shrimp feast Saturday evening, April 20, 2013, at the Legion.
