Walter Reed Society Mission Statement
The Walter Reed Society, Inc. was founded in 1996, for charitable and educational purposes for the benefit of Walter Reed Army Medical Center and its educational, treatment and research activities, as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the District of Columbia (TIN 52-1961196) and registered as a corporation in the State of Maryland. The Society’s vision is to serve as a strong voluntary organization – comprising individuals affiliated with the original Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and its successor organization, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) – which actively supports the institution, its people and its legacy.

Membership in the Society is open to all military and civilian personnel who have associations with WRAMC/WRNMMC to include patients, staff, those who attended any course of instruction at these institutions, providers of goods and services, friends and neighbors.
