The AHIMA Foundation 2024 Veteran Scholarship application opened March 1st and closes May 31st.
Who is eligible for the Veteran Scholarship?
The AHIMA Foundation offers a Veteran Scholarship for AHIMA members pursing an Associates, Bachelors, bachelor’s Certificate, and master’s degree in the HI/HIM fields. More information on this year’s program and a link to apply can be found on the AHIMA Foundation website.
What is the review process?
After the application closes on May 31st, the review process will begin June 3rd and end July 31st
When will recipients be notified?
The 2024 AHIMA Foundation Scholarship recipients are expected to be announced by August 15th. A list of the 2023 recipients can be found here [NEEDS LINK]

Veteran Scholarship Application
The online application process will involve answering several questions, uploading your transcriptions, requesting recommendations letters, and answering essay questions, all of which must be completed within the system by the deadline. Applications are screened for completeness and forwarded to the AHIMA Foundation Scholarship Review Committee for review and ranking. Applications are scored using a point system.
